The colonists didn’t want to pay the taxes on the British tea, so that’s why the Boston Tea Party started. In other words, some of the other Massachusetts colonists dressed up as Mohawk Indians and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor. The Boston Tea party was also known as the Midnight Raid. In 1773 , the british Parliament’s Tea Act was a designed bill to save the East India Company by lowering the tax on the tea.Who was Samuel Adams?  Many people participated in the Boston Tea party. But one important man participated in the tea party was Samuel Adams. Samuel Adams is John Adams brother. Samuel Adams was also a founding father of the United States. Samuel Adams was born on September 27, 1722 in Boston Massachusetts. In his boyhood, he attended Boston Latin school and then entered Harvard college in 1736. In 1740, he graduated but he still continued his studies. Samuel earned a master’s degree in 1743. When he left Harvard, his parents hoped that he would be a minister but he didn’t want to stop so he continued to studying law.Why was the Boston tea party so important to the American Revolution? The war began because in the morning of 1773, the colonists thought that it was time to stand up against the injustices of Great Britain, so they began to fight back. It was the first time the colonists started to claim their rights. Since this event, the colonists started to organize the Revolution by different meetings and leaders. The Revolution ended with the Declaration of Independence that was wrote and signed by the Second Continental Congress.Conclusion The Boston tea party was really important because its when the rights of the colonists started to be respected and it was the first step of the Independence of the American people.
