Spain the Central Government so as for Autonomous

Spain is a country located in Southwestern Europe. The coastlines include the Bay of Biscay, Mediterranean Sea, and Northern Atlantic Ocean. Neighboring countries include Andorra, France, Gibraltar, Portugal, and Morocco.Spain’s rugged terrain and geographic location produce substantial climate variability differences in annual average temperatures of over 18c*are recorded at separate sites in Mainland. Temperature trend analysis confirms that there has been a wide spread rise since the mid 1970s making global warming more apparent in the winter.Southern Spain will be reduced to desert by the end of the century if the current rate of greenhouse gas emissions continues unchecked, researchers have warned.Spain may have reduced its carbon emissions in 2014 by 2.1 percent, but it is still way below the European target of five percent. Experts predict Spain could have temperatures similar to North Africa by 2050 if climate change continues to affect the country at its current rate. Spanish ratification of the Kyoto Protocol in 2002 implied the commitment of limiting emissions not above 15% regarding 1990’s level, in the period 2008-2012. Since then, Climate Change policies are extremely important for Spanish Institutions, both for the Action plan of the Central Government so as for Autonomous Communities (AACC) and Local Entities. Today, Climate Change is a key element that involves the different Spanish sartorial policies. In this term of office, the Spanish Government has kept going into Climate Change Policies in depth, setting up the priorities to fulfill the objective of curbing emissions. In order to coordinate Climate Change Policies, the Coordination Committee for Climate Change Policies (CCPCC) was created. This advisory body assures coordination within the Central Administration, Autonomous Communities and Local Authorities, so as with the National Council of Climate (CNC), that is a participation body where besides the Public Administration, Social Agents, Non Governmental Organizations and Researchers also play a significant role.As EU leaders meet for climate talks in Paris, The Local takes a look at how climate change could affect Spain.Anything less than extremely ambitious and politically unlikely carbon emissions cuts will see ecosystems in the Mediterranean change to a state unprecedented in the past 10 millennia, they said.20 September 2016 – In his address to the UN General Assembly, Don Felipe VI, the King of Spain, stressed his country’s respect for the UN Charter as well as its support of implementing the key aims of the Organization, including the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and the tackling climate change, which is a “global priority” and the key to leaving a better world for future generations. On May 25th and 26th of 2017, the event entitled “Spain, together for the Climate” will be held in Madrid.Different elements have come together. In the first place, a greater awareness on the part of the public administrations and the companies, that begin to incorporate the adaptation to the climatic change in its strategic processes and in the decision making. This influences that we are getting more and more information and that we are better able to interpret what is happening in terms of climate change. It is also important to mention that there has been a qualitative change in methodologies and tools. Before 2009, each project was an exercise in creativity and the consultant had to create almost no methodologies, so it was also difficult to put the results into context. Now, there is a battery of basic tools that work very well, and we are even in the process of having an ISO standard in this field.Another issue that is striking is how increasingly, not only direct impacts on organizations, but it also impacts along the value chain are incorporated. It will be very relevant in the coming years to incorporate small and medium enterprises in this process.
